Sun, friends and happiness

I just have to start this post by telling you all how extremely excited I am for tomorrow. I'm sure people are getting tired of hearing about my brother coming over, but you just have to hear about it a few more times. He's going to arrive in Edinburgh 20:20 tomorrow. I can't wait to see him!
Apart from that I had my last 12.5 hour shift yesterday. Well, at least for this placement. The shift was quick enough and I got a lift from one of our lovely auxiliaries Marie. I'm not in the mood to talk about work to be honest. What I am going to talk about is the summertime that has punched us all in the face! The weather the last few days has been STUNNING! Unfortunately I've been working nightshifts or dayshifts and I've missed out on most of it. But on Tuesday I spent the whole day in the sun and it was beautiful! I'm not going to waste more time in front of the keyboard when there is a beautiful day outside that needs to be explored.

Baby we can do it, we can do it all night

This is me mentally preparing for 3 night shifts this weekend. By blogging and not being able to sleep during the day. It's only 6 days until my brother comes over to see me and I am really excited. It's going to be so good seeing my wee man again! I have just had a week off where I've been in Edinburgh with Connor. I went straight there after work last Thursday and arrived at the same time as my Chinese food did. It was pretty damn good. Then on that Friday I went with Connor to the doctor and to the dentist then we had a subway each before settling down in front of one computer each and disappearing into the world of internet until we decided to watch a film. We saw Puss in Boots and I really liked it. All the cat jokes were hilarious and I really recommend it.
On Sunday it was mother’s day in Scotland so we got Lee six bottles of vine, a box of after eights and a lot of flowers. I know she's not my mum, but she feels like one at times. I guess I can call her my Scotland mum. The whole family got packed together in a car and then we went to Fife to spend the Sunday with Connors grandparents. When we got there Connors grandparents spend the day telling me stories from Connor and Jack's childhood with quite the emphasis on the embarrassing moments. I did enjoy every second of it. Connors grandmother also told me a lot about her family history and there if few things that’s more interesting than someone’s background. It was such a great day that only got better when we ended up in a Chinese buffet.
Yesterday I went back to Stirling. Remember that beautiful flat I was moving into? Well, my flatmates changed their minds about it. I'm not happy about the decision, but there’s not much I can do about it. So the hunt for a place to stay has started again. Fee, Lana and Eilidh dragged me down to the TV room to watch this awful film about this haunted house. I'm not sure if it was a comedy or if they actually had tried to make a horror and just failed miserably. So that's all the news from me and I'll try my best to squeeze in a blog post or two before my brother comes over.
and a picture of my brother beause he's awesome < 3

Darth Vader in a kilt on a unicycle playing bagpipes

I keep on forgetting that this blog even exist. It's not until someone starts bugging me about the face that I don't update that I have to force myself over to the keyboard to press my thought onto the blank little screen. Right now I'm having a day off from placement. I'm working tomorrow though so I do my very best to relax to the extreme. My plan is to clean the room, eat and then do so much nothing that I hopefully will be ready for a day on placement tomorrow before almost a full week off. Last weekend, after a painful trip to the dentist with a promise of more torture to come for Connor, we went home and had James over for the whole weekend. Connor and James made this deadly drink that I decided to not go near since didn’t want to become blind. I can't remember much of the ingredients but it was a lot of vodka, energy drinks and sugar. I stuck to my wine and survived the night. On the Saturday we helped Connors dad move some furniture into his secretary’s office and managed to spend a few hours doing so. I'm quite happy, despite my never ending complaints about how tired I am after working long days in the hospital. I'm really loving my placement there. I do however find it quite scary that the more I learn the more I realize that I don't know. It's only 2 weeks and 1 day before my beloved brother Tobias comes over and is going to stay with me for one week. Time flies but I hope it will slow down while he's here so I can enjoy every second of him.
I finished listening to the Hunger Games trilogy today (Jack sent me the audio books). My only problems with books are that I get so caught up in them that I start my own imaginary world. I feel like I should rebel against the government and fight the system. Then I give myself a slap in the forehead and have a cup of tea until I realize that my mind has slipped into my idiotic little world again. You should have seen me after I finished the Harry Potter books.. or on second though I’m glad nobody but my family did. Lee and Jack (Connors mom and brother) have both also listened to the books and we’re getting quite excited for the premier of the first film next Friday (well, I guess I’m a bit more excited than the rest of them)

My dad also linked me this video on Facebook and even after watching it about 20 times I still cannot stop laughing. There was just no way I could not share it with you guys.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word

So it's been well over two weeks since the last time I updated my blog. I actually have no excuse, but I keep on telling myself that I've been really busy. So instead of telling all my readers how sorry I am I'll just get right to it and update yous on what had happened. Well, I have been on Skype with my lovely little (well, not so little any more) brother and booked flight tickets for him to come over here for Easter and see me *excited*.
He's going to be here from the 29th of March until the 6th of April! Then after being held apart from each other for two weeks I got to go down to Edinburgh and be with my man Connor for a while. I was also lucky enough to meet up with my lovely German friend Alexandra! She was in Edinburgh for the weekend with some friends of the family and we had time to do some crucial shopping together. I got two new cardigans (Connor told me they looked like granny cardigans *hurt feelings*), a new pair of ugly sunglasses and a new pair of shorts.
Then I had to drag my ass back to Stirling for some hard work. I worked 12.5 hour shifts Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before I could go down To Edinburgh and do nothing but sleep for 20 hours. It's been a lovely weekend so far and yesterday I had a lovely walk along Musselburgh beach. It was one of the best walks I've had for a while and bumping into Lucille just made things one hundred times better. I got home just as dinner was being served and spent the rest of the night watching TV with Connors mom Lee =D Today the plan is to do nothing at all and just bug Connor and maybe, just maybe, go for a walk again =)
